No respect I’ll hold

Walked these paths alone,

Forgiven what I’ve held,

Felt the light of heaven,

Burnt from flames of hell,

 

All I’ve been graced with,

This I couldn’t sell,

Soul so worn, so shattered,

Thorns within have gelled,

 

Seen the sun come up,

Reached up to the sky,

Held you deep within my thoughts

Through worn and blurry eyes,

 

You faded without warning,

My hopes all disappeared,

How could I go on trusting,

What I held so dear,

 

Walked these paths of stones,

Stumbled, yes I fell,

Light that shone upon me,

Cast me from these walls of hell,

 

Now that you have left me,

Alone, I’ve turned so cold,

Keep on thinking of you,

With no respect I’ll hold.

When I see your face,

I feel the life inside of me,

And I hope and pray,

That this is just a dream,

 

When I hear your voice,

All the questions that I ask,

All the answers that I seek,

Have all drifted away…

 

Can it be, that you’re gone,

Can it be that I can’t face the truth…

 

The shadows that have followed me,

Have all now disappeared,

With the hope that one day,

You’ll be near,

 

Two souls together,

To be as one,

Together for infinity,

Forever to live on,

 

Take my hand,

Take it now,

Cause I can’t wait another day,

I need you, take me now,

 

Take my life,

Take my soul,

Take it now,

And the love that waits…

Inside a cage

Tell me all I have to hear,

Love me only when you’re near,

Judge me not, I’ll prove my fate,

Broken heart inside a cage,

 

Lie to me your perfect way,

Dead to you is what I’ll play,

Pleasant dreams are not so near,

Teach me what it is you fear,

 

Is my pedestal much too high,

Do you think for you I’d die,

Mourn me now, why would you wait,

Put my heart inside a cage …
