The darkness is now before me,

I try to close my mind,

Can’t imagine the destruction,

Or the reasons why,

The war hasn’t settled,

In fact it grows quite near,

But before I seek my freedom,

I have to face my fears,

Why can’t there be peace,

In the world we hold so dear,

Do we have to carry on,

With our aggravated sneers,

Why can’t we live forever,

In the shadow of this man,

To deliver out his message,

To hold peace throughout the land,

Seems after all we do,

It’s no better than yesterday,

We keep trying to get ahead,

Always being led astray,

Can we keep this up,

When our bridges have been burned,

Contradictions going on,

And the lesson’s not been learned,

For the open heart is reaching,

And this is what I seek,

Hope, anticipation

For all mankind will meet,

The day when wars will stop,

The world will be at peace,

We’ll all embrace as one,

We will finally… be at peace

Sitting all alone in a smoke filled room,

Where are you now my love, your heart I can’t consume,

Thinking of the past , we used to laugh and play,

Could tomorrow be, when you choose to stay,

Take me as I am, such a silly fool,

To change for you my love, I’d promise you the moon,

Saying I was sorry, said too many times,

Can’t erase the past, can’t cross the dotted lines,

Wished you would have stayed, I’d make it up to you,

Can’t find it in your heart, to save the love we knew,

Take me as I am, such a silly fool,

To change for you my love, I’d promise you the moon,

Tell me how this got started,

The one with rights, dearly departed,

Tell me why you’re open minded,

Black from white, truth was blinded,

Gave up so much to see you through,

What can I say, what did I do,

My heart I opened up for you,

I thought forever you’d be true,

So when the rain begins to fall,

Will I finally hear your call,

To find your truth so deep within,

Shall it be known your truths were sins…

In the heart of what she feels,

Is this lifetime too surreal,

What she knows keeps her safe,

Whispers hints of her faith,

Eyes opened like mirrored doors,

Shut too tight like weathered souls,

Keeps her safe for just a fee,

For her soul’s eternity,

Weave us more your tales and woes,

Will you find which seeds to sow,

In the heart of what she feels,

Is this lifetime too surreal…

Castles in the sand, bring back memories of you,

Whispers in the wind, your voice, so softly,

Trembled at the thought my friend, to feel you waiting,

While the world was within reach, you stood by…

The sky so blue and pure, up high, keeps me hoping,

That time will soon stand still, like the rivers do,

I’ll call out your name, will you be waiting,

By the castles in the sand, where I met you….

Dedicated to the loving memory of my father…. At home shall we meet again!

Walked these paths alone,

Forgiven what I’ve held,

Felt the light of heaven,

Burnt from flames of hell,

All I’ve been graced with,

This I couldn’t sell,

Soul so worn, so shattered,

Thorns within have gelled,

Seen the sun come up,

Reached up to the sky,

Held you deep within my thoughts

Through worn and blurry eyes,

You faded without warning,

My hopes all disappeared,

How could I go on trusting,

What I held so dear,

Walked these paths of stones,

Stumbled, yes I fell,

Light that shone upon me,

Cast me from these walls of hell,

Now that you have left me,

Alone, I’ve turned so cold,

Keep on thinking of you,

With no respect I’ll hold.

When I see your face,

I feel the life inside of me,

And I hope and pray,

That this is just a dream,

When I hear your voice,

All the questions that I ask,

All the answers that I seek,

Have all drifted away…

Can it be, that you’re gone,

Can it be that I can’t face the truth…

The shadows that have followed me,

Have all now disappeared,

With the hope that one day,

You’ll be near,

Two souls together,

To be as one,

Together for infinity,

Forever to live on,

Take my hand,

Take it now,

Cause I can’t wait another day,

I need you, take me now,

Take my life,

Take my soul,

Take it now,

And the love that waits…

Imaginary questions,

Imaginary lies,

Caught in this deception,

Entangled in her cries,

Dream of silver linings,

Dream of sister soul,

Caught in this deception,

For this is what you’re told,

Imaginary mentions,

Imaginary smiles,

Caught in this conception,

Not knowing reasons why,

Dream of the future,

Dream of what you’ll see,

What flows beneath the bridge,

Is the strength of you not me,

Free me,

Take me to the promised land,

Free me, tell me,

You know I’d understand,

Free me,

Take me to the promised land,

Free me,

You know what I am.

Cast within the sand,

Of where my spirit lies,

Holds the warmth deep in my body,

For some to feel would die,

As the rains entraps my being,

Floods the empty hearted soul,

Masks the silence of my spirit,

Not to tear my world so cold,

Where will we be tomorrow,

Will we find truth once again,

How will we know which road to take,

Will the yearn to love remain,

Deep seeded questions answered,

Forgotten myths set free,

Will the warmth deep in my body,

Be released for all to see,

As the rain down-pours our fortune,

Can we tear the walls that hold,

The light that shone bright long ago,

So our stories can unfold,

We will be here tomorrow,

Reunited all as one,

We will know which road to take,

We will know the time has come.

Passion flame,

Burning same,

Intense heat,

Feeling lame,

What to take,

What to make,

To follow through,

Black or blue,

Guide me now,

Tell me how,

Lead the way,

What should I pay,

Hands held high,

To say goodbye,

To say hello,

I don’t know…

Dimming light,

Blinded sight,

Name your game,

Name your price,

Time will tell,

What you feel,

Time will sell,

What you steal,

Guide me now,

Tell me how,

Pave the way,

What should I pay,

Hands held high,

To reach the sky,

To save my soul,

I don’t know.
